Fortunately, I am blessed to finally qualify for my employer’s scholarship program. I am honoured. The scholarship will cover 90% of my tuition and this will greatly lift the financial burden that prevented me from pursuing the MBA program. With that burden lifted, I am now able to focus on making the best use of this opportunity by being effective and efficient in my studies. I believe that acquiring the MBA will enable me to acquire and develop specialist skills in supply chain management. Moreover, I will have a competitive edge in the job market. Most importantly, pursuing the program will enable me do the right thing, in the right way and thus build a successful career.

I remain excited and highly motivated. My employer is very supportive and committed to my career growth. Therefore, it gives me great confidence and the intrinsic drive to succeed so that I can be an outstanding student who is obedient, teachable, team player and open to new ideas during lectures. In the long run I intend to be a valuable member of the team at work. I am looking forward to becoming an innovative and strategic professional in the field of supply chain management. Considering success and performance is achieved by being effective and efficient, the MBA program will equip me with specialist skills in order to build a successful career. I have always had a passion for education. Over the years the passion has been strategically positioned in the field of supply chain management. Therefore, the MBA program will charter a course path towards being a leader in the field of supply chain management. It will be a dream come true. A vision achieved and most importantly become self- actualized. I am optimistic that the case studies, scenario analysis, value chain analysis and other core materials learnt through the program will enable me to be uniquely positioned in dealing with real-time issues at my place of work. I will be in a position to create synergy through the various activities that take place through the supply chain network. Furthermore, sharing knowledge learnt during the program with colleagues and the rest of the society will be self-fulfilling. It will enable me to become a mentor to others and be socially responsible.

I also intend to become a management consultant. Pursuing the MBA will, therefore, be a milestone towards achieving my career goals. Knowledge is power (Gilder, 2013) and I believe the value for money will be reinforced when I become a consultant who is highly educated. I also believe acquiring the MBA will enable me to work effectively and efficiently in a dynamic business environment and use the available resources to deliver tasks assigned on time. I was highly interested in how the university takes pride in developing responsible business leaders who aspire to create meaningful change in their industry (Sandiego.edu, n.d). Therefore, I believe the program will enable me to become a business leader of good calibre. Furthermore, the small class sizes will enable me to acquire personalized experience and become globally minded, internationally accredited and highly recognized in the corporate industry. The life-changing experience, education and exposure acquired at the University will leverage me in the corporate market as well. I will also be proud to be associated with a university that embraces the Catholic moral and social tradition by its commitment to serving with compassion, to foster peace and to work for justice. Moreover, I will be fortunate to gain knowledge in an institution that is committed to advancing intellectual development by cultivating an appreciation for beauty, goodness and truth while providing opportunities for the physical, spiritual, emotional, social and cultural development of the students (Sandiego.edu, n.d).

I would like my future classmates to know that I am a team player, socially responsible and deeply committed to excellence. I am also looking forward to volunteer at the Literacy through Character Program so that I can stand out as an active leader who takes initiative and pride in giving back to the society. I am much grateful for having won the scholarship and look forward to new learning experiences and exposure at the university.
