The process of management is essential to achieve organization goals, within a changing business environment. The process involves activities aimed at utilizing resources, balancing efficiency, and effectiveness of operations by utilizing the skills of every employee working in the organization (Northouse, 2013). Be as it may, leadership is the procedure of influencing individuals in a team to work towards realizing the organizational goals. The process involves conceptualization of vision, sharing the vision with other team members, and providing direction, and information to help achieve the vision. Similarly, leaders assist in balancing and coordinating different interest of team members and other stakeholders of the organization. Leaders are also handy during the crisis since they are able to come up and provide a solution to challenges.

Barrack Obama is one such leader in the government organization. He is a very powerful leader of the United States. While in office, President Obama developed effective strategies to help unite states to improve the healthcare system and curb inflation (McAdams, 2014). As a leader, Obama is able to run the nation in an effective and efficient manner. At the same time, Obama is able to share his vision of change and influencing different stakeholders and the citizens of the United States towards achieving change. Barrack Obama exemplifies a different leadership style that enables him to run the office and also maintain the loyalty of the citizens.

Barrack Obama Leadership Traits

It is quite hard to completely profile a leader based on his traits. Barrack Obama is one of the great transformative leaders who are intelligent, versatile and charismatic. These positive traits have enabled Obama to successfully manage and operate the presidential office. There are various notions that need to be determined when identifying leadership traits. As cited in Burnes et al. (2010) there are three imperative systems that need to be factored in when profiling a leader. That is equilibrium, transforming and classical system. Whichever system chosen will help identify different leadership traits.

When we use the transforming system to profile a Barrack Obama, we have to address the needs of the office while Barrack Obama began to be the leader of the United States. Therefore, we are required to identify the role of Barrack as it happens rather than profiling them in advance. Barrack Obama is a flexible leader who is able to keep abreast with the dynamic state of being a leader in a big nation like the United States (Ribeiro, 2013).

President Obama Leadership Style

There are quite a number of different leadership styles. Good leaders are flexible and are able to assume different leadership style based on the nature of the organization. Good examples of leadership styles encompass charismatic leadership, transactional leadership, and transformational leadership.

President Barrack Obama is a transformational trailblazer. Conversely, he also exemplifies other leadership styles such as charismatic leadership. As a transformational leader, President Obama is able to link with others in the United States and the whole world to motivate others, endorse the agenda of change and contribute to enabling people to see that they are contributing to making the United States a better place (Hamstra et al., 2015). President Obama was also able to change the manner in which politicians motivate and win voters hearts through grass root approach. The outcome of his leadership style is evident because of his success in a various situation such as containing depression and improving the healthcare system ( Lussier, R., & Achua, 2015). This shows that Barrack Obama is a transformational leader whose leadership style has resulted in enormous benefits and will have an impact on American history.

President Barrack Obama Strengths and Weaknesses

Each and every leader has strengths and weaknesses. President Obama is a charismatic leader whose strengths has enabled him to effectively lead the United Nations. One of the key strengths of President Obama is good public and communication skills. President Barrack Obama is a very powerful motivational speaker and is able to move the crowd by sharing his vision of change and a better United States. President Obama is a gifted speaker who is able to communicate and teach people in business and politics regardless of the audience differences.

President Obama also has good decision-making skills and he is able to make a sound judgment. He was able to appoint strong-minded opinionated cabinet members to help him in making sound and rational decisions. President Obama decision good decision-making skills have enabled him to keep the country away from depression and at the same time improve the healthcare system. His decisions to attack Osama, end war with Iraq were successful. President Obama also decided to use successful economic pressure rather than engage the military with Russia.

President Obama is also a good listener and always keep his ears open to get information that is important to help him make a decision. He listens to what his cabinet members, cabinet members and the opposition and other great leaders have to say before making a judgment. Obama is able to work with different people to realize the vision of change.

Every leader has a weakness and Obama is not exceptional either. At times President Obama is arrogant. He exemplifies arrogance when he feels that someone is trying to sabotage his ideologies. Obama is a quiet type president and is weak on executive experience. At times Barrack Obama is not best when it comes to making impromptu speeches. However, this is minor weaknesses and President Obama is a strong powerful leader and manager.

The Ethical Issue during the Obama Regime

Even though Obama leadership is a success story. President Obama faced some ethical concerns. For instance, the Solyndra scandal that has raised eyebrows on political favoritism (McAdams, 2014). Solyndra, a solar energy company went bankrupt after being given questionable loans by the White House under the Obama Regime. This concept as exposed to how political contributions can affect government policy.

Recommendation

A person can go to an institution to learn about management, however, leadership is natural but can be improved through enhancement of one’s leadership styles through experience to become a very effective leader (Tyssen & Spieth, 2013).  Therefore, Barrack Obama should focus on ways to improve his weaknesses and become an even more powerful leader.

Therefore, Obama should focus on improving and reducing his arrogance. His quietness has made other leaders to view him as a weak person. President Obama should also learn to balance power, business, family, and friendship to build a strong relationship with people. Finally, President Obama should focus on reducing ethical concerns that may make his character questionable as a leader.

To conclude, the success of an organization is dependent on good leadership. Leaders are very important as they assist in coming up with a powerful vision, share and motivate people to work towards gaining that vision. Barack Obama is a powerful leader who utilizes a transformational leadership style to help the United States to achieve its vision.
